Engineers supporting the environment
Dr Sean Avery is a Director of GIBB Africa, and is resident in Nairobi. Sean was born and brought up in East Africa and he qualified in the United Kingdom. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist. Sean has been resident in East Africa for over 40 years, he is registered as a Consulting Engineer in Kenya and Tanzania, and he heads the GIBB water and environmental projects throughout Africa.

Sean is also registered with Kenya’s National Environment Management Authority with responsibility for numerous environmental audits and impact assessments. Sean has a passion for environmental projects and the Aberdares especially, and he has traveled extensively throughout Kenya and the region. Sean is the team leader and driver.
