Degazettement of Engineers The Kenya Gazette of 13 August 2004 lists the names of over 900 who have been removed from the Engineers Registration Board Register as from 7 July 2004 for failing to pay their annual dues. Many of these have left the country, some over 20 years ago, others have died, but the list in cludes many who are still practicing in Kenya. The Notice states; "The affected persons can be restored to the Register as per section 114 of the Act if they fulfil the following conditions: (a) All arrears must be paid in full (b) Must pay a penalty charge of KSh 5,000 for those who respond within three months from the date of deregistration c) Those who are not reinstated to the Register within three months from the date of deregistration will need to apply afresh and go through the rigorous professional interview program (d) Those who continue to practice after deregistration will be dealt with in accordance with the relevant sections of the law".
